The Icom M71 has waterproof protection to 1.5m depth for 30 minutes, equivalent to IPX8 rating, a first for the market place.You can use this radio in rain, snow or any other severe weather conditions!
Improved 6W high-power output
The Icom M71 has improved output power of 6watts to provide extended communication range. Another first for a VHF marine handheld.
Loud, clear 600mW audio output
The Icom M71 employs a bridge-tied load (BTL) audio amplifier to increase audio output. The internal speaker delivers clear 600mW audio output even in noisy environments. A water draining support function ejects water from the speaker grille using low frequency sound.
High capacity Li-Ion battery
The Icom M71 comes with a BP-245, 2000mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack.
High resolution LCD
